The component 2a, covers matters of a teacher's interaction with students and students' interactions with the teacher. These are both demonstrated through words and actions in the classroom. Creating an environment of respect and rapport is the job of both the teacher and the student. Through caring about the students and being invested, this shows the student how to do this also to their peers. Thus creating a community of support and encouragement. The usage of the element is based around creating a positive and supportive environment for students. By making one's classroom into a respectful and safe place for any student.
Implementing this element in the classroom is mostly done by truly caring about the students. Overall, I can implement this by forming that community of growth and respect between myself and students. This can occur through asking about their weekends, activities they are in, or finding out their general interests.
