Component 2d focuses around the more human-side of having an orderly classroom that is not too constricting. It is centered on the teacher being able to handle and manage the classroom without undermining the students and their feelings. Incorporating this into the classroom offers outcomes for later in the year. If student behavior is corrected, then later the student can engage and feel respected more than they did before.
In the classroom, expectations should be clear and present for the students to know. This way there is no confusion when management is used. When teachers are monitoring the students, they should use With-It-Ness and always been aware of what is happening in the classroom. Lastly, teachers should response to misbehavior in an understanding way and response in such that does not shame the student. To implement this in my classroom, I can do things like walking around often during work/free time to monitor the students. Also, by addressing problems early I can fix any issues with behavior in the classroom and do it in a way that has my students think positively.
