As titled, this domain is centered on the planning and preparation a teacher must do in order to properly teach and run a class. However, a big piece of Domain 1 is demonstrating the teacher has on the content, students, resources, and assessment/instruction styles. Overall, the domain gives the baseline for a classroom. It points out the needs for understanding the learning process but also making instruction that the students can actually reach. This domain is important because they must be an exposition before the rising action and climax. What I mean is that a teacher needs to be well-taught and prepared before beginning their day in the classroom.

In basic terms this area is where a teacher has a firm understanding and really knows their students. The teacher understands where each student is in their life and works to accommodate their situations.
Having expectations in the classroom is important and this component demonstrates it. Having these outcomes shows students where to go in their learning and where the assessments formed around.
This component shows on a teacher utilizing and knowing the resources they have for the classroom. The materials should be important to help the students but also challenge them in their learning.
This should reflect the teacher's knowledge on content, outcomes, students, and resources for the classroom. Combining all of these elements the teacher should be able to design a lesson that covers each aspect and engages the learners.
Assessments in the classroom should properly test the students to the best of their abilities. It should not be how much information a student can cram into their mind but a reflection of what the student has learned.
