Description Google Forms is an application from Google. Its main usage is to create surveys or 'forms'. For every form there are a variety of question types to choose from, these range from multiple choice to inputting a time or even a picture. There is a lot of different opportunities for complicated or intricate questions. Using the tool is easy, it is mostly a matter of inputting the question title, and the formulating the answers if required. There are also options for making certain questions required and even setting up a spreadsheet as a way to collect any responses that come in. Finally, Google Forms also allows its users to track the responses and see graphs of how people are inputting answers.
Danielson Tie-In Honestly, Google Forms could be used in Domains 1, 3, and 4. It is very versatile due to the fact that it can help set up and plan a lesson, but it can also be used as an assessment and reflection tool. It fits in with 1f for designing a formative assessment. Depending on the content, a form can be fitted for any type of question that can work over a computer. In 3d, it could be used as a formative assessment that is ungraded. It could be a way for students to check their learning during or after classroom instruction. Lastly, it would fit very well with element 4a. With the capability to look back at the responses and how students did, a teacher can use this to determine whether the students learned the material or not. It offers a way for a teacher to see this and then reflect on how they taught and if they should have done it differently.
Reflection This tool can be used a variety of ways in the classroom. I think it would be a great formative or even summative assessment due to the multiple ways questions can be set up. The possible reflection aspect of it also offers a lot for a teacher. It provides the ability to find any problems students may be struggling with and compiling it all together for a teacher to view easily. This way the teacher can see the possible issues and maybe even go back to reteach a few of the concepts. This could be found whether Google Forms is used as a formative or summative assessment device. I can see myself using this in my future classroom. It is easy to use and honestly offers up a lot of different set ups for assessments or even just regular interest surveys. Plus the themes are pretty exciting and fun to pick out. I am a fan of Google Forms because of its ease and multiple of possibilities!
